One of the main stumbling blocks for me when it comes to improving the Hyper NeoGeo 64 emulation over the years has been the texturing in the racing games. This issue alone has caused me to give up quickly after looking at the system many times. Today I've finally figured it out. There's a table uploaded by the game(s) with a pair of values for each texture page. These values contain the size of the textures on that page. In reality, simple now it's understood, but non-obvious as it always seemed more logical that the model data would contain that information, not a random table uploaded at runtime.
