Welcome back to the channel!
I think long blunt has to be the way to go, at least straight off the bat. Using lighter weapons doesn't quite have the same energy or impact and the ideal blade weapons are locked behind skill trees I don't have the skill books or the beans to grind out the skills for. It'll be a long process before we get to that point.
I think focussing on one tree for now, levelling our fitness as much as possible and attempting to drive our way through or divert the zeds at the military base is probably the most ideal scenario for us currently. I still have the main goal of fighting through, one way or another, the narrative is still pushing us along that path it's just one hell of a fight to get through!
