21Come and join us for our blind playthrough of Machinarium, the 2009 point-and-click adventure game by Amanita Design
This one has been on my list for a long time, and has always been a strong recommendation. Point-and-click games can be a bit love-them-or-hate-them because of the propensity for moon logic - but let's see how we get on!
From an artistic point of view, this is such an odd little game - it's like someone took the whimsy of a retro point and click adventure game, and set it in a world something like a cross between Tim Burton and H. R. Giger - I can't really think of anything quite like it - but it does feel eerily familiar, like someone took Corpse Bride, and made it 2D. It's an absolutely unique visual experience

Music: Beautiful original soundtrack was composed and recorded by Floex (Samorost2 OST)
Communication: You won't find any lengthy boring dialogs in this game, characters talk by comic bubbles with simple animations and symbols
