Maniac Mole PS2 Full Playthrough/Walkthrough ( Phoenix Games / Mere Mortals ) Playstation 2 - 2005
11Heres a full playthrough of the classic Playstation 2 Phoenix Games Group game called Maniac Mole. Developed by Mere Mortals in 2005 and released on the 26th july 2006 in Europe, and Australia the following year on the same date.
As the game is a budget title it was, and probably still is unknown to many. Maniac mole, is a simple 2.5d platform game containing 20 levels, and a small array of strange enemies to defeat.
You play as a mole who awoken to find his house had been replaced with a laboratory. At your obvious disgust, you set out to find the foundations and destroy the lab, and get your home back. Every 4th level pits you against a boss which in order to defeat requires a more tactical approach rather than trigger happy approach. The levels contain jumps that have distances that seem impossible, and enemies that are sometimes unavoidable. But all in all....i had fun playing maniac mole!
If your looking for a simple platform game that will take away a few hours then this should feed some of your appetite. The loading screens have been edited out of this video, but total playing time was 1 hour 25 mins approx. And this was accomplished after playing the game, learning the levels for a few hours per day, over the space of 3 days.
I would return to maniac mole again even though ive completed it. It gets quite challenging at times and the fact its cheesy makes it more enjoyable. Its something fun to play if you have a spare half hour to lose.
Unfortunately its the only platform game released by Phoenix Games on the Playstation 2. I wish theyd of made more, ill have to see if any others were developed by the Mere Mortals.
