Mantic's plastic Marauder Commandoes!
113Why it seems just yesterday I was excitedly receiving my very first Deadzone pledge. What a time it was on Kickstarter! Those were the days!
...yes, those were the days, circa 2013 or so. Coming close to almost TEN years later, we're seeing a new plastic set of Marauders getting released, this time for Warpath, but just as useful and effective in Deadzone.
For starters, we've got enough options to kit out the whole box similarly. There's a good variety of heads and five different body types. You have both close combat and heavy weapon support options available, as well as bits to put together a commander figure- which I forgot to do.
Could definitely see the potential to use these guys in all sorts of skirmishing scenarios.
I've long preferred Mantic's civilized and disciplined Marauders to the hooliganesque Boyz of other companies. Still do.
These guys are also nearly the exact same scale as Mantic's Rift- Forged Orcs from their Kings of War fantasy lineup, if you really want to make some interesting options!
