461We review the slim-line designed Marantz NR1509 AV Receiver. This unit does not feature immersive audio formats like Dolby Atmos or DTS:X, rather it is a step-down model for those thinking of downsizing their system or someone who doesn't have the room for a full-on Atmos speaker system. It features Dolby True HD and DTS Master Audio 5.2 processing and is powerful enough to drive most budget and mid-range speaker packages in a UK sized living room.
Marantz UK provided the review sample, but they had no influence over the review results or testing. The unit was provided in full retail packaging.

Available for around £330 online at the time of this review in April 2019 we think the performance and features available for that price make this a Best Buy item for those looking at a 5.2 channel home cinema system, that is also great with 2 channel music.
