The spiritual successor of Marble Blast has been around for over a year. On November 8, 2019, its derivative debuted on Apple Arcade, shortly after Arcade was launched as a new gaming service. It was first available to the iOS/iPadOS/tvOS platform, and later to macOS Catalina.

When I heard this exciting news, I immediately jumped on Apple Arcade to play it. When I first played it on my iPad, it definitely reminded me of Marble Blast Mobile, a game that was available on the App Store before it got removed. It did took me a while to get used to the controls, but it was playable. One caveat I have was when I need to slow the marble down. I couldn’t really pull that off. You could have better control of the marble f you have a wireless gaming controller connected to your mobile device. Thankfully, it became available on Mac, since I have more experience with using the keyboard to control the marble, and I can record my runs on my Mac just like I did with my previous videos.

Within a month of playing, I managed to beat all the Silver times on all the 60 levels (12 per chapter), 59 Gold times, and 56 Diamond times. It has been really fun playing this game. This game has some difficult levels that took a while to beat, especially Platinum Playground, Energy, Symbiosis, and Danger Zone, which is the only level that I haven’t beat Gold/Diamond time on.

This game does have its limitations:
1. You can’t create replays.
2. You can’t add custom levels.
3. You can’t participate in the weekly challenges.

Despite those caveats, I’d say the developers did a great job with reviving the core concept of the game, and I’m glad they made it available to more users with this exciting release. I’d rate this game 4/5. Enjoy the movie, and here are timestamps if you want to see a particular level!
