The RETRO GAMING REWIND is a series where we play Amiga, PS1, PS2 and PC games from the late 80ies to the early 2000's.
We play a different game in every episode, for about an hour, and everything on REAL soft- and hardware.
For "PC" that means a PC I built with parts from the 90ies (Voodoo 2 accelerator, Sound Blaster 16, etc.), that runs MS-DOS and Win98SE.
We'll be playing everything on original CDs, except for Amiga 500+1200 games, which were originally on floppy disks, where half of them have gone bad.
I've tested all the Big Box Amiga games I own and they are just too unreliable. The artwork is beautiful though!
So for the Amiga 500+1200 we play the WHDLoad versions, which have been installied on my Amiga 1200's hard disk. For the Amiga CD32, PS1+2 and PC games we play everything on original CDs.
I use mods, upgrades and modern components in my consoles and PCs, which make the experience a litte bit smoother, loading times faster and the picture quality significantly better.
They're still our old beloved machines, but they have been refursibhed and upgraded to modern standards.
