In this video, Marble Madness, released in 1986 for the Atari ST by Electronic Arts.
Based on Atari Games 1984 classic coin-op, Marble Madness lands on the ST with its simple yet addictive gameplay. The goal is to drive our ball through a maze full of obstacles until we reach the extraction zone.
The graphics are very similar to the original, colourful, neat, with an isometric view that give a sense of depth and with a relatively fast action associated to a smooth scrolling. The audio is good with some nice YM sound fx. In the scarce main menu, as controller we can select joystick to play as a classic coin-op or mouse to experience a trackball-like feeling. The playability is high with the possibility of two players playing simultaneously.and a balanced difficulty.
Since the game hasn't loading screens or intro, here you'll find options screen and 2-players gameplay.
