By modifying the game to load the slot of a battle track instead of a VS Race one, we can do battles on VS Race tracks!

You can do this by, for example, using the following Gateway cheat code (EUR v1.1), and then select any course to load the one you want (whose course ID is XX in the code below):

NOTE: Selecting a VS Race track in Battle mode crashes the game on a real console, but not on Citra. Selecting a battle track in VS Race will crash the game in both Citra and real console, however.
