Both ending credits videos show that inside drift bikes used to "slide" forwards a little when starting the drift after hopping.

This is very noticeable in one of the clips with Bowser, seen at the end.

A similar thing happened in the Fall Press Conference 2007 footage ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p9i_9D7kNlQ ), where you can see the Mach Bike "sliding" while drifting (albeit the "sliding" looks much more drastic there than in the credits videos).
