Mario Kart World is the latest entry in this iconic kart racing series, but it's a lot more than that. It's an attempt to push the series forward mechanically. It's an attempt to redefine what a Mario Kart game is. It's a shiny launch title for Nintendo's newest console. But more than anything, it' looks to be a new trendsetter - forcing up the average cost of a AAA video game to $80.
