Cool fight. My main strategy was to focus on getting donkey kong to the 4 barrels so he could throw them at the sheild icon inside the pool. Try to position him close to the next one so you can get to the next barrel on the next turn after tossing the barrel at the sheild. Other than that damage the enemies that are right on your ass, but dont worry about far off enemies. Instead damage the boss directly. Whenever you attack the boss directly it does more damage then if you attack the sheild icon above the pool. Whenever the boss takes damage, he is healed from the pool, meaning you are depleting the sheild of life by hurting the boss. Attacking the sheild does less damage to it, so its a waste. Only hit the sheild with area of effect attacks while attacking other foes or with the 4 barrels (500 damage each). Once the sheild is destroyed the fight is done.
