Back in 2022, I played and finished the weirdest crossover game that Nintendo has ever released in Mario+Rabbids: Kingdom Battle. The Mushroom Kingdom mixing with the video game version of the Minions was not on any Bingo cards in 2017. But, for some reason, it worked so well. Giving Mario and friends weapons resembling guns was not something we expected Nintendo to ever allow... but here we are. An inventor and fan of Mario invents goggles that can merge two entities together. A bunch of Rabbids come in, wreak havoc, and one steals the goggles and begins running roughshod on the world. The Rabbids find themselves in the Mushroom Kingdom with Rabbid forms of the major Mario heroes and villains and Mario and friends stop the Rabbid (known as Spawny) from wreaking more havoc.
The sequel, which I am playing now, continues with the Rabbid Heroes and the Mushroom Kingdom heroes are sent across the galaxy to stop an entity known as Cursa from taking over the galaxy. Plus, a lot of Galaxy references bring in the Lumas and Rosalina into the mix. Enjoy this playthrough of Mario+Rabbids: Sparks of Hope.
