Mark McMorris Infinite Air (PS4/XB1/PC) - Tutorials (NO COMMENTARY)
Mark McMorris Infinite Air is a snowboarding game released in 2016 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC by HB Studios. It attempted to modernize the feel of snowboarding in video games with a physics-based control scheme, where your riding feels much more realistic and spinning/flipping in the air requires you to wind up correctly and care about your body's rotation and orientation, to land successfully. Along with this, the game also had major advancements in being a multiplayer, community content-driven experience, as well as its advanced map editor where you can truly make your own copy of the mountain with features far beyond what snowboarding games had seen before. You can say that this game wanted to be sort of the "Skate" series of snowboarding games... but it is much much jankier than Skate ever was, and much harder to pick up and do well in, and so it did not do well commercially. Still, Mark McMorris Infinite Air can be seen as a trailblazer for the physics-driven snowboarding games that came after it like Snow, The Snowboard Game, and Shredders.
When you first load up the game, it gives you a mandatory(?) tutorial that explains a lot of the intricacies of the game. The tutorial is voiced by Mark McMorris himself, so I am not going to commentate over it. My group and I will be there for the rest of the videos though!
