Surely you have, since the future of space exploration is all about this idea. So much so that legions of nerds around the world are already packing their bags. Sure, it's the enthusiasm of youth... But the idea of reshaping Mars' environment to make it cozy still seems like something out of a sci-fi book. Or maybe not?
Some say that all it would take is warming up Mars' atmosphere somehow, and everything would fall into place... just like in Total Recall, the movie that shows the red planet turning into an Eden with a blue sky.

And that's not all: its gravity, rotation speed, and axial tilt are almost a mirror image of Earth's, making it a top candidate for a planetary makeover.
