Marvel Avengers Alliance-Team Angelic Beast (proof of concept)
17During this week's From the Helicarrier cast on Twitch, a viewer e-mailed in. This sparked a conversation where Pesty was simply called Beast because nobody uses him anymore. Can Beast actually be viable in today's meta? Does any new ISOs give him a renewed lease on life (or leash for that matter nyuck nyuc). Can even Angel be dusted off and used?
Beast and Angel once existed in defensive metas. Beast is the original neurotrope and Angel is the first Staff of Asklep. Angel took a nerf a long time ago to his move categories and Beast has remained untouched. The new isos ARE capable of making them work. Beast's personal e-iso actually works better for Beast than Pesty. Neither need morale boost thanks to Angel so 2 slots apiece upon up. What is their draw back? Offensive cleanses, despair, the DEB and anti-melee protectors can spell doom for them. You can split off either hero and team them with Angrir for increased usage. An pre-counter generalize from Angel is formidable and Beast's stealthy generalize is also good. Using the new flanked, rising up, lethal and other isos partially revitalizes these 2. Sadly, I don't consider them top tier but they MAY work out on defense and they could mop up in the lower brackets with an offensive armory. Their sustain and tricks make them fairly solid.
