4When designing systems for Marvel Heroes Omega, we wanted to make sure everyone captures the correct feeling we’d expect from that hero in terms of gameplay. However, as an action-RPG, we also strive to offer multiple ways for players to build and play their heroes, whether that’s chaining Powers into devastating combos, modifying those powers with complementary talents, or equipping items that synergize with your hero’s favored stats. So consider these tips as a starting point for new players looking to wield the shield as Captain America on this Fourth of July weekend.

The wait is finally over! On behalf of everyone at Gazillion, I’d like to invite you to check out Marvel Heroes Omega on Xbox One! If you’ve never heard of Marvel Heroes Omega, think action-RPG-meets-MMO — all set in the Marvel Universe. If you have a favorite hero from any of the Marvel films, comics, animated series, television shows, or Netflix Originals, there’s a good chance you’ll find them in our game right after you finish our introductory Prologue mission.
There’s so many great heroes to choose from, hailing from some of the most memorable teams in Marvel history, like the Avengers, X-Men, Defenders, Marvel Knights, and Guardians of the Galaxy. But with today’s Friday launch taking place just ahead of the Fourth of July, I thought it might be fun to take a closer look at Marvel Heroes Omega’s most patriotic hero: the one and only, Captain America!

Star-Spangled Strike followed by Torqued Shield Throw
Use Captain America’s Star-Spangled Strike to leap into the air, crashing down upon enemies like a meteor. Any enemies not neutralized by this first strike will find themselves knocked down, leaving them vulnerable to a well-timed Torqued Shield Throw, where Captain America hurls his shield into a quick orbit around himself, finishing off all nearby enemies.

Shield Toss followed by Airborne Assault
Talents and You
At level 32 and up, you’ll gain access to new sets of Talents to choose from. These offer all kinds of perks, including some dramatic modifications to certain abilities. Some of my favorite Talents that synergize well with the aforementioned Captain America combos:
Combat Surge – Increased Serum generation (Cap’s secondary resource)
Serum Rush – Cooldown abilities deal double damage after using up all your Serum
Impenetrable – More staying power, keeps Cap on his feet!
These are just 3 of the 5 choices you can make, but these will greatly increase the stopping power of Cap’s heavy-hitting cooldown abilities. Every hero offers a unique set of Talents, each choice unlocking new ways to play the Hero.
