So Square has gone and done exactly what they said they wouldn't do when the game was revealed oh so long ago. Have a guess? Yep, they went pay to win. With the refresh of this week's marketplace inside the game, they put up experience, fragment and catalyst drop rate boosters. This is what they said they would NOT do during the E3 where this was announced. Reddit, Twitter and many gaming sites are now furious at this news.

Square COULD have done this if they made it a 1-2 week, time limited event with the game hitting the Xbox gamepass. The game was in the best shape it's been since release with Wakanda being a great DLC, Black Panther being an awesome character and the game getting a huge influx of new players since it hit the game pass. Sadly, Square literally shat on all that goodwill the just gained by putting P2W elements in their shop. Is this the signal flare that the game is going to go F2P?
