Spider-Man 2 is a perfectly good video game, lots of great set pieces, action packed combat rich in meticulously crafted animations, and a pretty good spidey story to boot. It plays things close to the chest though, and while series fatigue hasn't set in quiet yet, it's imperative for a third game to shake things up a bit to avoid a feeling of staleness. Good thing Spider-Man 2 has deferred a lot to a third game then, great for the future, but a bit of a let down now.
