We reach our finale with a bit of a whimper. Even on my first run, I felt like the Miles stages of this fight were much easier than the Peter ones, partly because Miles' abilities just feel so strong, but partly because Venom is just a lot more predictable in his flying form. Pitting the easier version of the boss against the more powerful character is a strange choice.

The challenge run didn't change that much. This is a mid-tier difficulty fight at best, probably just below Scream.

Starting off, the flying sections during phase 3 are trivial. Dodge his attacks, throw the fireball back if you want, punch him, dodge after he flies away in case he does his aerial charge, rinse and repeat.

Once you knock him on the ground at 0:50 he's slightly more interesting, probably a buffed version of the Venom Peter fought in phase 1. But the terrain here works against him terribly. If you just keep him on the upper level and dodge out over empty space, none of his combos can follow you far enough. Eventually he'll grab, and you can either dodge this, then counter, or get caught by it and parry when he puts you down.

At 2:40 he takes to the air again. The only difference now is that instead of throwing consistently two projectiles, he'll throw between two and five. Nothing to write home about.

Phase 4 is graciously more interesting, and quite engaging. I needed to have a solid grasp of his attack patterns at this point, but fortunately after getting through the Peter phases, I did. There's not really much in the way of strategy or tricks here, just a brawl. The only tip I really have is to keep a close eye out for the short scream he does before doing his un-parry-able grab attack. It's a crucial tell and you need to be able to spot it fast.

At 6:00 he takes to the air one final time. This is more difficult than the phase 3 flying, by far. His projectiles are now streams of damage. These require better dodge timing, and hurt a lot more if you get caught up in the full array. You also need to be ready for the triple-thrust attack he does at 6:08. Under these run conditions, two hits from this will kill me.

At 6:25, notice how after I combo him I air dash away. This is the best method to deal with him. This will generally have you escape his quick punches, but also leave you ready to hit the dodge button at the right time for the next projectile stream.

The part of the fight isn't a very complicated flowchart, but it's harder to execute than the previous and takes longer. Eventually he finally goes down, though, and the run wraps up.

The scene at 9:11 is weirdly creepy when you don't do any inputs.
