Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered - Walkthrough Part 6: Back to School [PC]
Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered is a remastered edition of Marvel's Spider-Man, an action adventure game from 2018. It was developed by Insomniac Games, the same studio responsible for the original game. In addition to the base game, it includes three DLC making up the campaign The City That Never Sleeps, those being The Heist, Turf Wars and The Silver Lining.
Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered is set in New York City, on the island of Manhattan. The titular Spider-Man faces the Demons, a powerful gang who took over the city's criminal underground following a power vacuum left behind by Wilson Fisk's arrest. Soon, he ends up entangled in a larger intrigue involving other supervillains. He's not alone, however, as he's accompanied by his love interest Mary Jane Watson and a new friend, Miles Morales.
Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered makes use of the third-person perspective (TPP). The game features an open, freely traversible world. Spider-Man can effortlessly run on walls, climb rooftops and web-swing from building to building.
The game's driving force are main quests, accompanied by side quests and optional activities. Oftentimes, the player encounters dangerous enemies. Combat is dynamic, requiring constant movement, quick dodging and countering. Spider-Man fights using his fists, web-slingers and gadgets, firing them at enemies, throwing environmental objects at his foes, grappling them, launching them high into the air or sticking them to walls. In addition to regular enemies we'll also face powerful bosses.
There are also plenty of stealth sections, requiring us to bypass enemies or ambush them, taking them out undetected. The playable characters during stealth sequences include Spider-Man himself, Mary Jane Watson and Miles Morales.
As we progress through the game, we develop the protagonist by unlocking combat and exploration-focused abilities. Over time we also unlock new outfits providing various bonuses.
Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered sets itself apart from the original game with its enhanced visuals (upgraded textures, ray tracing) and 60 FPS framerate. Peter Parker's appearance was also changed, his new face model being Ben Jordan.
