You can actually choose which party you want to slay the nightmare with. On normal mode this is definitely the harder fight because you have to battle it with only two party members and have to deal with nightmare spawn constantly. On Fear mode however it's honestly easier because you have the ability to heal and use items. On top of that Otsuu is basically double attacking this entire fight... and following up other characters attacks... and countering. Yeah even with the nightmare spawn blocking out her attack command she was able to tear apart everything.
