I had been putting off buying Project Overlord because I didn't think it would be very good. The whole notion of a rogue VI, and the Geth attacking just seemed like it had been done a thousand times before.

But it was Mass Effect related, and my curiosity got the better of me, so I caved. And I'm glad I did. It was a little on the short side, but the missions were fun, and the story had more going for it than I thought it would.

Really, my only gripe is that Shepard is the sole member of your team who talks during these things. I'm sure it would be a pain in the butt to get the VA's of every character back into the studio just to record a couple of lines, but it just doesn't feel quite like Mass Effect without your squad mates chiming in with their two cents every now and again.
