Since the launch of Mass Effect Legendary Edition, we've been replaying the iconic sci-fi series from BioWare. Right now we're neck deep into Mass Effect 3, in particular the Leviathan DLC.

Leviathan represents a complete tonal shift from the rest of Mass Effect 3, replacing galaxy-saving diplomacy with nail-biting suspense and the supernatural. Tasked to track down Leviathan, an ancient being which supposedly killed a Reaper, Commander Shepherd eventually finds himself on an oceanic planet – the Leviathan's lair.

The mission, and the following conversation with Leviathan itself, is one of the finer moments of Mass Effect 3. More is learned about the origins of the Reapers in this 30 minutes than the rest of the series combined. And at the end of it all, Shepherd gains a powerful set of allies.
