Mass Effect 4 CONFIRMED For Unreal Engine 5!
The next Mass Effect game just got a major boost to it's prospects with the confirmation that Mass Effect 4 or 5 or whatever, is going to be using Unreal Engine 5 for it's development. For anyone who has been tracking the trends following BioWare the last few years, you'll know that their track record has been rough. While many other issues have befallen the studio, one of the big issues is the implementation of Frostbite into their recent releases.
A few months ago it was reported that BioWare had all options on the table for the next Mass Effect game for which engine they wanted to use. It seems now the team has made the decision, and with that I breathe a sigh of some relief. The foundation of this game is better delivered with Unreal than Frostbite.
