After all the years I have been playing this game, on and off, I have never successfully defeated the derpification inflicted by the in-game animation. I have made so many custom Sara Ryders, and every one of them looked good in the editor but terrible in game -- like some kind of wonky claymation kids character from the 80s, complete with "trumpet mouth" animation. But now, I have, with a bit of help from other players sharing their Ryders, managed to make a Sara Ryder I would gladly be seen in public with. :P
