Mass Effect: Andromeda's most expansive RPG mechanic is probably the research and crafting system, which thankfully is a lot less obtuse than what we saw in Dragon Age: Inquisition. There is an impressive array of individual weapons to unlock, upgrade and develop (much more so than would ever be accessible in a single playthrough). Combined with the plethora of options for modifying both weapons and armor, there's simply a lot of variety here - which in turn becomes one of the more compelling reasons to keep playing after the campaign is over.
