Master of Orion: Ad Astra Prototype Review — Space 4X I've Been Waiting for!
We review this prototype based on the popular video game Master of Orion! This is a true space 4x, where players will do everything from explore to exterminate in a civilization styled game. You'll grab an asymmetric faction to draft cards every round and play them from hand. In fact there's 2 tech methods which adds a lot of replayability! You can fight each other, especially around the final planet called Orion. Can this Science Fiction tabletop game be a 4x without succumbing to common issues like player elimination?
As it's a bit shorter in runtime, how does this compare to popular favorites of ours, like Twilight Imperium 4th Edition and Galactic Era? Does this have true king of the hill with the drafting of technologies? Can Archon Studios deliver this to a solid gamefound campaign in the near future?
