Twilight Struggle Review — Where is the #1 BGG Game now?
We review the prolific cold war game Twilight Struggle, as the US and USSR square off in the 20th century! This GMT tabletop game has players taking asymmetric roles as they drop influence across countries around the world, with dice rolling to resolve many checks. They're trying to get majority area control for when the scoring cards appear to get victory points. It's very thematic with the tug-of-war mechanic of countries as you play historic events from hand management. But where is this previous best BGG game now, in 2025, with all the Euros and campaign games coming out? Maybe the game will have a sudden death ending as Defcon reaches 1? Would we rather play a COIN game, or a WW2 game?
