The term 'cutscenes' originally comes from the video game industry. It is used to continue and underscore a narrative – and that is exactly what these cutscenes do as well. Written at the suggestion of cathedral organist Ruben Sturm, they are meant to serve as interludes during various occasions in the service. This collection can be seen as a trick box that, stored within easy reach of the organ bench, can fully serve its purpose of enriching the everyday life of the organ
„Der Begriff Cutscenes (Zwischensequenzen) stammt ursprünglich aus der Videospielindustrie. Dabei wird eine Handlung weitererzählt und untermalt – und genau das wollen diese Cutscenes auch. Auf Anregung von Domorganist Ruben Sturm geschrieben, sollen sie für die unterschiedlichsten Gelegenheiten als Zwischenspiele im Gottesdienst dienen. Diese Sammlung kann als Trickkiste angesehen werden die, in greifbarer Nähe zur Orgelbank gelagert, ihren Zweck voll und ganz erfüllt den Orgelalltag bereichern kann.
