This short fantasy is a pictorial interpretation of the 'Annunciation of the Lord.' Mary learns from Archangel Gabriel that she is to conceive a child who will be called 'the Son of the Highest.' The idea of a multitude of diverse and almost incomprehensible emotions experienced by Mary was the inspiration for this piece - instead of clearly defined moods, a fireworks of synapses takes over. This piece was specifically written for the two organs of the Munich Cathedral of Our Lady.
Diese kurze Fantasie ist eine bildhafte Interpretation der “Verkündigung des Herrn”. Maria erfährt von Erzengel Gabriel, dass sie ein Kind empfangen solle, welches “der Sohn des Höchsten” genannt werden wird. Die Vorstellung von einer Vielzahl an unterschiedlichsten und kaum fassbaren Emotionen Marias waren Inspiration für dieses Stück - an Stelle klar gezeichneter Stimmungen übernimmt ein Synapsenfeuerwerk. Geschrieben wurde das Stück gezielt für die beiden Orgeln des Münchner Liebfrauendomes.
