Now most decks in general, have to special summon a lot to do their basic combos. And drawing a single card is considered an absolute premium effect in yugioh because the game lacks a resource system to using its cards. In fact drawing cards is such a premium effect, there are a ton of banned cards on the ban list, purely because they let you draw cards just a tiny bit too easily. So if you need to special summon at least 5 times for your basic combo, and your opponent uses maxx "C" on you, then they get 5 extra cards in their hand to start their next turn. Or they might draw into more hand traps to further stop your plays from going through. This potential for giving your opponent extra draws off of maxx C is so strong, that its sometimes its better to just skip your turn, rather than give them extra card draw.
