During your turn, your given a number of actions for free
You can draw 1 card during your draw phase
You can Normal Summon 1 time during either your main phase 1 or 2, but not during any of your other phases. You only have 1 normal summon per turn total.
You can enter the battle phase once. This is how you deal damage to try and win.
Monsters have their own special actions they get for free. By default, all monsters get one attack per turn, and one chance to change their battle position. A monster can attack on the turn they're summoned, but they can't change their battle position during the turn they're summoned. In addition, a monster cannot change his battle position after it's already declared an attack, but you can change his battle position before attacking. So in a single turn, you can summon a monster and attack with it. Or if it was a ready summoned in a previous turn, you can change its battle position and attack with it, just as long as it changes its battle position before attacking.
