MCIHAD - Pop Flamer - Law of the Jungle
6This week, the gang go head to head in a forgotten Jaleco game, Pop Flamer. Players take the role of a deceptively winsome mouse armed with only a simple flamethrower on a quest to pop occasionally self-aware balloons. Along the way, you must evade and annihilate other woodland animals, whose objective in this macabre little scene is unclear. One presumes they seek to preserve the only beacons of beauty and joy to be found in an infinite black void from your nihilistic thirst for oblivion. This theory is lent credibility by the fact that when the balloons temporarily phase into sentience, killing them is worth ten times as many points. The ESRB would give it a pass for violent content, but unless there is a rating system to filter out mind-scouring despair, this game could shatter the minds of millions. Be forewarned.
