I do tournament regularly now to get resources as the rewards are quit good. The biggest kill rounds comes when your AI teammates are good and the opponent side's suck. This can easily be reveresed and you will be the one dying over and over again. Matchmaking goes in waves of good and bad. So you just have to learn to adapt.
