Gameplay: MechCommander 2 is a strategy game. The player commands a squad of BattleMech'. As a tactical officer, the player needs to plan his squad with the right combination of BattleMech' for each mission. Utilizing the landscape, the player can win each mission with an advantage. So be their leader, be their MechCommander!
Storyline: In the beginning, the Federated Commonwealth, an alliance of House Steiner and House Devion, is breaking apart due to Archon Katrina Steiner's controversial seizure of Power. This resulted in houses on Carver V to avoid any military action that could endanger the peace. Thus, when a suspiciously well-equipped bandit force threatens Steiner Territory. House Steiner employs a mercenary team led by you for this cover-up mission.
