King Harold: took an arrow to the eye... and about 500 more to the rest of him. At this point, he's more porcupine than king.

I... messed up the initial engagement to demonstrate you don't actually need to pay attention to triumph with this. Obviously.

You could just take out the Huscarls with archers, and slip past without a cav charge, but that's a bit trickier with more enemy infantry to block your way.

I think this is the only Medieval total war historical battle that can be "solved" this easily, but slipping behind and taking out the enemy leader works in a lot of them.
