139Ways of Alchemy is a card-based game where we grow a lot of turnips. That's not the purpose of the game, the goal of the game is to brew exciting potions and make some money, but we do spend quite a lot of time growing turnips. Turnips are a key feature of our life in this game.
Turnips.
To play the game we have to combine cards together in such a way that they do something. For example if we mix turnip seeds with a garden plot we can grow turnips! Yay turnips! And if we combine our own character card with a turnip we eat it! Yay turnip for dinner!
We have to start by clearing out an old alchemy hut left to us in a will and in there we find all sorts of bits and bobs, including turnip seeds. Soon, aside from growing turnips, we've ventured into the nearby town, bought some land and even explored a forest.
There's also potion brewing and fortunately for us the ingredients for our starter potions are very turnip heavy! We sell our potions for a bit of cash and eventually we're able to hire a helper, who ends up committing a murder, so that's great.
But the big question is... would you like a turnip?
