Some Things Are Better Left Hidden | Whisper of the House (Cozy Home Organisation Game - Demo)
Whisper of the House is, on the surface, a lovely cozy game about organising things in people's homes or workplaces, but dig a little deeper and it turns out that there's more going on...
We turn up in town and people immediately call upon our services as a furniture moving expert. After setting up our own place we head off to help some other folks.
The core idea of the game is simple, and a bit like the excellent Unpacking; we unpack items from a box (held by a floaty robot) and then locate that item in the property somewhere. Should it go in the corner? In the kitchen? On a shelf? There are many different items for us to place and a nice level of freedom to do so!
However all is not as it seems, because it turns out that houses have secrets, whispered things that people have tried very hard to keep hidden away. We find one such thing in one of the houses we're working on and it's a little unnerving, involving as it does... a squirrel.
We also do some time travelling, we buy lots of plants and there's a slight hint of Cthulhu-worship in the town...
NOTE: This is the demo version of the game.
