Meeting Medora (The Elder Scrolls 2: Daggerfall)
4In episode 43 of our blind playthrough of Elder Scrolls: Daggerfall we finally respond to Prince Lhotun's letter. He tells us that he may know why King Lysandus haunts Daggerfall, but before he will tell us, he wants to know what happened to his older brother. What unfolds is a very sad story. This brother was born ill and remained that way his entire 15 years, eventually his parents, the King and Queen of Sentinel, get tired of him, and help plan his eventual death. Once we return and tell the Prince about the fate of his older brother, he tells us about how King Lysandus was in love with his court sorceress, Medora. Mynisera found out, while the King was away and banished Medora from Daggerfall, she would retreat to the Isle of Balfiera, but is currently cursed to stay on the island, without any opportunity to leave. We travel to Direnni Tower on the Isle of Balfiera, in order to talk with Medora, and get her advice on how to deal with Lysandus' ghost. She will help us exorcise Lysandus, but in order for her to help us we need to remove the curse currently put upon her. We have to travel to Nulfaga's castle, and bring back the horn of a Great Unicorn. Once we free Medora, we are sent a letter requesting our presence by Queen Akoritihi of Sentinel. She asks us to infiltrate Castle Wayrest and recover an heirloom of the late King Lysandus. While entering Wayrest, we get a message from Medora, who tells us there is a powder that will soothe the ghost of Lysandus, but Gortwog and the orcs have it. We end the episode by reading King Edward Part 4.
