Mega Man 7: Part 1: Opening, Title Screen & Intro Stage
8About a week ago, many Capcom fans all over the world were struck with joy when Mega Man was announced as a playable character in Super Smash Bros. 4!
So, because of that, I want to get another Mega Man playthrough going. Right now I'm up to Mega Man 7!
Okay, it's not the best game to celebrate with, but I've already played through some of the better ones, and I intend to playthrough all 10.
While the Classic series' jump to the Super Nintendo was a necessity, many feel that this game didn't deliver enough of that charm to make it stand up as easily as its NES prequel did. Nevertheless, this game is still at least decent.

The story goes like this:
At the end of Mega Man 6, when Mega Man defeated Dr. Wily for the 6th time, he was finally able to catch & apprehend the madman before he could escape.
So while Wily's in jail, little did anyone know that he had 4 more Robot Master in reserve besides the ones he used in Mega Man 6. After 6 months without any tending from their creator, these 4 new Robot Master activate on the own and begin their search for Wily.
They leave a path of chaos and destruction in their wake. They simply will not rest until they find and rescue Dr. Wily.

After the title screen that follows the opening, beginning from there show Auto, a new robot created by Dr. Light, driving a helmetless Mega Man and his little sister Roll to the site of the new Robot Masters' destruction.
Once Auto hits a roadblock, Mega Man has to go on his own from there. Auto gives him the wrong helmet at first, then gives him his signature blue one. Roll stays behind with Auto, and hopes that Mega Man will be okay.
Not too long after Mega Man heads out, he meets up with Dr. Light & Rush. They were too late in preventing Dr. Wily's escape, so now Mega Man has to go after him with Rush on his side once again.

It's after that when you can finally control Mega Man for yourself. This game came out after both Mega Man X & Mega Man X2. The concept of intro stages from the first game ended up turning up for this one.
Not too long after you get to control Mega Man, you have to fight the Mad Grinder as a miniboss. Aim for his head, but watch out, because his mohawk can attack you like a buzzsaw.

Not too long after that fight, Mega Man is faced against a black robot called Bass. Like Mega Man, he also has a robot partner in the form of Treble, but you'll only see Treble once you've beaten Bass.
Apparently, Bass was trying to stop Dr. Wily himself, and he wanted to test Mega Man's strength to see if he could face Wily. Of course, he is.
Bass is the last boss of this stage, so when Bass leaves, Mega Man wonders who or what he is before taking off himself.
