We are in the beginning of the endgame, folks. It seems that the WWW has found out that their base has been discovered by the Scilab. But they aren't worried, and that is because they have the superprograms combined and they have completed the lifevirus. We go downstairs and we see the leader of the WWW, Dr.Wily announcing that the endgame of his plans have begun.
Lan sets off to go look for Higsby's shop, and it's open but he isn't there. We find his WWW member pass, we go to the metroline but one of the workers say we can't use that there. Another worker of the metroline says he can hear another train alongside them. Suspicious, we go to investigate where the sound is coming from, and we go towards the school, the sound was getting louder and louder. Going to the statue, right behind it was a secret door that led to a staircase! Just then, Mayl appeared and was curious as to what Lan was doing, he went down the secret staircase, and she called out to him but he was gone. Mega Man thought he heard Mayl's voice, but Lan tells him that he was hearing things. So, we enter the WWW's secret metroline and Lan makes an attempt to ride the train, but his pass is out of date which triggered the alarm system, and we have no choice but to escape. So, we go to Dad's lab to see if he can renew our pass, he does and we make our way back to the secret metroline and we get on the train to the WWW labs!
Soon after that, Mom calls Dad about Lan and Mega Man and she asks if they were there, he tells her that they just left. She is worried about those two and believes that they are in trouble, Dad says he'll never let anything happen to them, and won't let what happened last time to happen again. Mom apologizes for calling Dad at work, and he says sorry for being at home more. A scientist talks to Dad about the Lifevirus and He says Lan and Hub doesn't stand a chance, they began to work on something right away. Meanwhile, Lan and Mega Man made it to the WWW labs, they make their ways inside the base, and there we see Higsby and the former WWW members, captured. We free them, they say thanks and we make our way ahead, but the door is locked so we jack in to disable it. It's basically the same dungeons where we at before earlier in the game, the only thing that's weird is that you don't refight the bosses nor do you see Match, Jack, or Madd which is weird. We Make our way across the familar areas and our friends come to help us!
