Going into detail on how the style change system works, it's essentially on how you fight throughout a total of 200 battles once the 200th battle concludes depending on what exactly you've done indicates what "form" you'll take, the basic rundown for each is:
Using your Megabuster a lot = Guts Style
Using support/recovery chips = Shield Style
Adding chips or choosing many chips in the custom screen = Custom Style
Using many Navi chips = Team Style
What you do during these 200 battles you'll gain a "point" for a particular style, whichever has the most points after the 200th battle determines the form you take. You also gain an element to what style you take and the element is randomly chosen, this has the benefit of changing up your charge shot, but the elemental charge shots ARE not affected by your Buster stats, well at the least the attack stat doesn't affect anything.
