Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 (Mega Man 9 part 1) playthrough
Ah, Mega Man 9. Originally slated for the DS, then switched to a WiiWare release that was also later ported to the other systems of that generation, Capcom decided to make a throwback game. It's not quite a true NES game. There's a few things here that are a little beyond what the NES could actually do. But the look and feel is absolutely solid. I love it. I adore this game, and 10 made the same way. I would love Capcom to make a substudio that does nothing but make these year after year. Though there'd probably be a fair bit of burn out doing that. But this is what a lot of people wanted in a Mega Man sequel and it shines, in my opinion. It's harder, no quite Nintendo hard, but it's one of the more difficult of the main line games. It does have one section that I truly hate, and that's a trap that automatically kills you, unless you know about it ahead of time. I don't consider those good design. The rest of the game? It's solid. There's some new mechanics in this in the levels that are a lot of fun to use. Like the swinging platforms in Jewel Man's stage. Splash Woman (the first female Robot Master) has the my favorite bubble ride section. This one has Wily's castle introduce new elements as well, stuff you don't see in any level. Overall, it's a great game, but I wasn't QUITE able to squeeze it all into one day. Sorry.
Mega Man 8 is missing from the YouTube archive because the "Creative Music Group" has FRAUDULENTLY put a ContentID claim on the video because one of their represented clients did a song that samples/covers a song from Mega Man 8. Let me again be perfectly clear: *THEY DO NOT OWN A COPYRIGHT ON MEGA MAN 8 NOR ANYTHING IN MY VIDEO* yet they are allowed by YouTube to claim it anyway. This is fraud. And YouTube allows it to happen. -- Watch live at https://www.twitch.tv/the_nametag
