Coming into contact with it will cause a virus battle to occur. Mega can swipe at the Crimson to destroy it. In order to progress, we need to find little fragments of Kelvin's memory scattered throughout the area using the data that Hope gave us. Once we do, we can use it to open the Noise Gate blocking the way. We also see said memory when we open the gate. In a different world, Kelvin would've been the protagonist. __
