Minakuchi Engineering was tasked with bringing the Blue Bomber to the Genesis in October 1994, and that's what they did, although it certainly wasn't easy. This game is known for having a rushed and tumultuous development cycle that wound up being a bit too ambitious for the hardware it was on. Only future iterations of this game would reduce some of the bugs and slowdown that plagued this one. Good thing we're playing this one on unofficial hardware then, huh?
The replay runs are done, but Mega's work isn't quite finished yet. Dr. Wily has returned with a few new fighters to take our hero down. We can't let that happen so close to the finish line, can we? We'll see, but not in this video, as this first of today's double feature is meant to welcome us into the mode and show how things work without a second of gameplay being shown. That said, going through the previous three adventures in our first half of this series was a good thing as it's unlocked a lot of choices for us to make for each and every stage we take on.
We'll get things set up for next time when we finally get set to bust these new bots and drop Dr. Wily's plans for world domination for the first time on the Genesis and hopefully the final time even though we all know that won't happen with all the games left in the series to go through after this. Doggone it!
Oh, and the boxes and text will be a bit smaller in subsequent vids. With no gameplay here, I figured they were fine as is.
