Mega Man X engine - Game Maker - Background tests - Ray Kingfisher Prototype Stage
If there's any lag, it's coming from the recorder or game maker, oddly enough everything else runs smoothly.
Well with music out of the way, decided to fiddle around with game maker's background layering, seems with work I can get some really nice-looking stages together with my backgrounds. I've noticed in a lot of the earlier X games on PSX, they never really messed with foreground much, but if done right you can get some cool results. This also shows a bit of Zero, though with this engine I'll have to look into fixing his story bug, as it seems to crash.
