Launched in Japan in 1993 and in the west in 1994, Mega Man X was the very first major Mega Man spinoff, and it was a big enough hit that Capcom released eight total games in the core franchise. To celebrate X's heritage, the publisher opted to release two X Legacy Collections on modern hardware. This review focuses on the first Legacy Collection, which contains X, X2, X3, and X4. The short verdict? It's an excellent compilation very much worth your time and money.
