Mega Man X4 First No-Damage Run Completed with Checkpoints
2This is the first No-Damage run I completed using checkpoints, as the title says. I do eventually want to get good enough to do a full run without using checkpoints though. This seems like the best way to practice this, because this lets me play the sections I'm having trouble with more and keeps me from getting rusty in the late game.
Finally, the last fight with Sigma causes some problems because the big face form of Sigma has a move that inhales a bunch of garbage and spits it back out randomly. The inhale part seems like pure RNG to avoid but doesn't do damage. The second part can be consistently dodged though. So, after playing through the whole game hitless, it may be necessary do turn the run into a no-damage run strictly because of RNG... :(
Hopefully, a work around will be found to fully avoid those hits even though they don't do damage.
